| Radee means “passion” in Thai. Radee is our passion to transform a variety of delightful exotic fruits into distinctive and exquisite wine. We are thrilled about producing innovative and premium quality wine. We seek tropical fruits widely cultivated in tropical Thailand and select those that are suitable for wine such as mangosteen, pineapple, and passion fruit. We create special wine with our passion for innovation and excellence in fruit wine and introduce the new world of tropical fruit wine to our customers. |

Radee is founded in summer 2008 by Makiko Yamashita. The idea was inspired by her first encounter with delicious fresh passion fruit while she worked on an agricultural project with One Acre Fund in Kenya. During this experience she became enamored with the magical sweet tangy taste of passion fruit. Her graduate work led her from Africa to Thailand where she discovered a host of exotic fruits that were widely available to the locals but rare in the US. Teaming up with a winemaker, Dominic Rivard, she conceived a company that would produce premium tropical fruit wine from Thailand and bring them to the US market. Thus Radee was born, Radee means “Passion” in Thai and the name symbolizes our passion for innovation and excellence in making fruit wine.We produce our wine with the utmost care and proven winemaking technique.

| Winemaker, Dominic Rivard |

Born into a family of winemaker, Dominic Rivard has 15 years of experience in the winemaking and wine business.
Working globally including in Canada, USA, Italy, Korea and China, he specializes in fruit and dessert wine such as Canadian Icewine. In recent years, he worked as Chief Winemaker at following wineries; Tonghua Winery in China, Field Stone Winery in Canada, and Oeno Wines in Thailand. He has been certified as a Sommelier, Wine Judge and has studied Oenology at University of California at Davis. His wine has won many awards and medals in competitions such as the best dessert wine in Canada in 2007.
His passion is to produce premium quality fruit wine. He advocates the world of fruit wine as a frequent speaker at wine symposiums and through his book, “Ultimate Fruit Winemakers’ Guide”. He is also a founding director of the Fruit Wines of Canada Association which promotes the fruit wine industry. He is excited about the development in the fruit wine industry and introducing Radee tropical fruit wine.
